Hao Nguyen for Hennepin County Attorney

My name is Hao Q. Nguyen, I am an experienced prosecutor of over 15 years. I have handled cases ranging from assault to murder and everything in between. I am a senior level manager in a major metro prosecutors office that oversees more than 300 employees. Prior to going to law school, I served the public as a correctional officer, police officer and sheriff’s deputy. I am an immigrant and refugee, who came to America as a child of war. I am the son of a single mother of three, America gave me opportunity and a home, I believe in the American Dream.

I am an experienced prosecutor who believes in justice and fairness for everyone in our Hennepin County community. I will hold violent offenders accountable for their actions, while uplighting the voices of victims. I will reasonably consider innovation and responsible reform where appropriate, but never at the cost of public safety and equity for all our communities. For me every person in Hennepin County deserves to be safe and treated fairly, no one in Hennepin should have to choose between the two. You have the right to be both.
